We’re Ann + Lee!

From inquiry to married -
we’re here to walk through it with you.

You know those select couples who can work together and have fun while doing it? Yeah, that’s us. We’ve been photographing weddings around the world together since 2010 and love it.

Watching couples tear up and get excited about each other is our favorite. 12 years into weddings and we still tear up the moment before the bride walks down the aisle, and think it’s really cool when a groom toasts his bride.

We enjoy weddings so much that we photographed Ann’s dad’s wedding - notice the blurry photo? Yeah, it’s blurry because someone was trying to document us at his wedding. ;)

Intentional relationships, travel, food, art, and music are things that light up our worlds - we can’t wait to learn what lights up yours - and how it’ll show up on your special day.

I grew up with two very opposite parents - one introverted and the other extroverted.

My late sweet mum, was very grounded, enjoyed simple things, design, art, and warm interior spaces. She loved creating an atmosphere for people to let down their guards and just be. She also had a sassy zing that you wouldn’t expect. If I’m being honest, when I’m photographing weddings, she is in my mind. It’s how I would have shared about your wedding with her.

My dad (I call him Daddio) was outgoing and loved adventuring through physical activities like golf, softball, wrestling, biking, fishing, traveling, etc. He just simply enjoyed doing life and anyone that crossed his path. Everyone he met was a friend - they just didn’t realize it yet.

To this day, at 72, he is still like this.

As the product of my parents, I ended up getting the vivacity for life my dad has and the appreciation for aesthetics and creating space for people my sweet mum had.

My photography style is a combination of both these approaches. Looking through, you’ll notice well composed portraits, details, and the soft meaningful connections that happen between family and friends when their guards are down. I also love documenting the small physical touches that happen between moms and daughters because one day, that photograph is the photograph you will have to remember that warm touch.

Now, when Lee came into my life the fun level went up. We married in 2010 and I threw a camera in his hand and said “let’s go!” We haven’t looked back since.

Lee has a vibrancy that is tangible and makes you feel like you can do anything. He brings his flare for hyping people, serving them, and is pretty much down for any shenanigan that may happen on your day. He is drawn to the candid moments where emotions leak out through laughter and tears. Lee also has an eye for spotting small kiddos exploring the wedding scene and gets on their level to see what they find.

We have both worked in the food and education industry at different times in our life. We have also lived in two different countries and visited a variety of places which means - we can handle a lot - and genuinely enjoy the variety of personalities we encounter.

We know that life has its ups and downs. We have walked through our own as well. That’s why we love what we do - walking alongside people for a while and creating photographs that remind you just how incredible this life we have been gifted truly is.
